Purpose of Research Proposal
Purpose of Research ProposalThe purpose of the research proposal is to enable an author to publish the results of his/her research work. In order to get this done, an author has to get the information required for the proposal prepared by someone else and have the research done for the purpose of publication.Research is often treated as a process which is applied once and can be discarded. However, it is not so. Instead, research must be conducted continuously in order to provide the optimum results and keep the project moving ahead in its normal mode. Without continuous research, the progress will be too slow.Research will help an author to achieve some goals in a specified period of time and if the research is carried out by somebody else, it will end up being wasted. The purpose of the research proposal is to provide the author with the necessary information for the data collection. The data can be gathered through interview or surveys etc.The research proposal must have a clearly defined purpose and the most common mistake made by authors is that they go for a term paper without defining the purpose of the research. Therefore, the purpose of the research proposal is to help authors develop a research proposal. Once the purpose of research is clarified, it will become easier for the author to plan the research. The purpose of research should be clearly explained to the author so that the research is carried out in a systematic manner and each step is carefully mapped out. The various phases of research can be carried out sequentially or in parallel. However, it is also possible for the research to be done at a later stage of the project and this would mean that the purpose of the research proposal is to develop the purpose of research and apply it for the project in a systematic manner. An example of the latter would be the developing the plan for the following step. Theimportance of having the purpose of research clearly defined would be very evident when the project involves developing a new scientific technique. Therefore, the purpose of a research proposal is not to produce a preliminary idea. The purpose of the research proposal is to gather the appropriate information from the subject. All the important points must be considered and then a proper plan must be made to apply the proposed method to the specific case.Once the purpose of research is clear, the author has to use his/her creativity to develop the research and then start to implement the plan on the specific case. There is no room for error in this kind of research as it should be carried out systematically. With consistent application of the new research, the overall success of the project will be assured.
